What time can we check in?
On your day of arrival, you can check in from 3 to 8 pm. If you’ll be arriving earlier, you can make yourselves comfortable here at the hotel or explore our play areas, pools and cosy corners. If you’ll be arriving late in the evening, please let us know in good time so that we can make sure we’ll be there for you.

Can we have breakfast on our day of arrival?
Of course! You are welcome to enjoy our Entdecker breakfast (from 8 to 10am) immediately after your arrival for a surcharge of €25.00 per person (children receive a discount).

Can we check in earlier?
If you would you prefer to drive through the night and get here in the morning, you are welcome to have breakfast from 8 to 10am, and we’ll have your room ready for you from 8.30am. Price on request, and subject to availability.

What time is check out?
Check-out is at 10.30—we put a lot of effort into getting our rooms ready for our next guests. After checking out, however, you are welcome to use all of our hotel facilities including the pools, saunas and play areas.

Can we get an afternoon snack on our day of departure?
Yes, for a surcharge of €25.00 per person (children receive a discount), you are welcome to enjoy our delicious traditional South Tyrolean afternoon snack. 

Can we check out later?
If you would prefer to spend the afternoon here and leave later, you are welcome to spend the whole day here and keep your room until 5pm or 8pm. Price on request, and subject to availability.

Is there a hotel shuttle service?
Yes. For families who will be arriving at Ehrenburg train station, we offer a free Entdecker shuttle service to and from the station. Please book well in advance on +39 0474 565 238.

Is there an airport nearby?
Yes, Bolzano airport (BZO) is around 70 km from our hotel. The best way to get here from the airport is to get a taxi to Bolzano station and take a train to Ehrenburg/Casteldarne station, where we will be delighted to pick you up free of charge.

Do you have a car park and an EV charging station?
We have a free underground garage for our guests. Four parking spaces are reserved for EVs, and are equipped with a charging station. Charge cards are available at reception (€0.50 per kWh).

Is the public transport good?
Yes, you can explore a lot of the surrounding area without a car. With your HOLIDAY PASS (which we give you free of charge when you check in), you can travel free of charge on all public transport in South Tyrol. To give you just a few examples, this includes: the Pustertal and Vinschgau trains, the regional trains between the Brenner Pass and Trento, all public buses within and between the cities and towns, the spectacular Mendel Pass funicular, the Mühlbach-Meransen cable car, Bozen-Ritten cable car, Bozen-Jenesien cable car, Bozen-Kohlern cable car, Vilpian-Mölten cable car, Burgstall Vöran cable car and the Ritten train.

Where is the nearest bus stop?
Around a 5-minute walk from our hotel; the buses to Bruneck and Terenten run every hour.

Why can’t I book online?
Because we believe that personalised, tailored service is important, and we want to make sure that your holiday will meet your expectations in every way. Most of the time, online bookings cannot offer a personalised holiday – but we can!

Is it worth booking early?
Oh definitely. Our prices are flexible, and are based on current occupancy, Early birds always catch the worm.

At what stage is my booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed from the moment you have received our written confirmation and paid a deposit of 30% of your total accommodation rate. At this point, your stay is officially booked, and we will start looking forward to your arrival.

What payment options do you offer?
If you would like to pay in cash, please note that Italian regulations permit cash payments up to and not exceeding €4,999.99. We also accept EC card or Visa. If you would prefer not to increase the international limit on your credit card, you are welcome to transfer the balance of your accommodation rates in advance. Are there any taxes or fees which are not included in the price?
The local tax (€2.50 per person per day from 14 years old and over) is not included in the price.

What are your cancellation terms?

• Cancellations made prior to 30 days before scheduled day of arrival are free of charge, and we will return your deposit.
• For cancellation made from 30 to 10 days before arrival, we retain the deposit.
• Cancellations made less than 10 days before arrival are charged at 80 % of the booked amount.
• In the event of late arrivals or early departures, we charge 100% of the daily rate as stipulated at the time of booking for the unused portion of the stay.
• Unused services, particularly meals, will not be refunded. .

Can you recommend a travel insurance policy which covers cancellations?
We recommend taking out a travel cancellation and curtailment insurance policy with HanseMerkur. This policy provides you with financial protection in the case of unforeseen events such as illness, accident or job loss, and also covers non-arrival, early departure and late arrival.

1. CANCELLATION COVER
Reimbursement of costs if you have to cancel, delay or curtail your trip due to:

• Unexpected and serious illness
• Serious injury caused by an accident, or death
• Significant damage to property
• Loss of employment or commencement of employment

2. CURTAILMENT OF TRAVEL
If the trip is curtailed during the first half of the insured trip (up to a maximum of eight travel days), we will reimburse the full amount; beyond this time period, we provide a pro rata refund for any unused travel services.

3. DELAYED ARRIVAL COVER
If you have to change your booking or are delayed in reaching your accommodation due to a traffic accident or breakdown in a private vehicle while en route to the booked and insured accommodation, or if the journey is interrupted due to road closure.

What can we do in the indoor play area?
In the play room, your children can run around, climb and snuggle to their heart’s content: with its little hidey-holes, climbing frames and comfy spots to sit and read a book, there’s something for every child to enjoy. 

The crafts room is ready and waiting for all young artists who want to paint, cut, glue and make things. Let your imagination run wild, and there’s no limit to the things you can create together. This is a place where creativity and joy reign supreme.

Is there an outdoor play area?
Yes, our outdoor play area is a guarantee of endless fun and adventure!

A slide runs all the way from the terrace to the sandpit, where there’s always so much fun to be had and exploring to do, from digging holes in the sandpit to exploring the bears’ cave and climbing up to the treehouse. There’s even a small stream with a watermill, where kids can build dams and paddle around. An out-and-out paradise for young explorers!

What is the Entdecker workshop?
Our imaginatively-designed workshop welcomes parents and children to take part in guided crafting sessions, and is open every day from 3 to 5pm, from Monday to Saturday.

Can we book a babysitter and/or child entertainment?
We have designed and planned our hotel for the whole family. For this reason, we have made a conscious decision not to offer babysitting services or entertainment for children.

Are there any animals at the hotel? 
We don’t have any animals ourselves, but the farm directly beside our hotel has cows, goats, rabbits and cats, and they will be delighted to see you.

What does the Entdecker breakfast include?

Your day begins with a huge breakfast buffet that leaves no box unticked:

• Farmhouse butter, free-range eggs, milk from local cows
• Bread from the village baker, yoghurt and cheese made from South Tyrolean milk

• Crafts room: Cutting, painting, gluing, crafting and reading aloud – in this room, your kids can let their imaginations run wild. 

Is there an outdoor play area for kids? 
Of course. Our outdoor play area is an absolute paradise for young explorers:

Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?
Of course. We provide free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Do you offer a laundry service?
We will be happy to wash, dry and fold your clothes for you. Here’s how it works? In your room, you’ll find a bag with the words “Ich möchte gewaschen werden” (I want to be washed): Just place your dirty laundry in the bag and bring it to reception. Price per service: €25.00.

Can we bring our pets?
We love animals too but, out of consideration for our youngest guests, we are sorry to say that we cannot accommodate pets.

Holidaypass
The HOLIDAY PASS entitles you to unlimited year-round travel on public transport, including regional trains throughout South Tyrol. You will receive your free Holiday Pass when you check in. In addition to public transport, this pass also entitles you to countless discounts and free participation in a wide range of activities.

Are there any ski schools nearby?
The nearest ski resort is the Kronplatz, where you will find a number of ski schools:

• Skischool Kronplatz
• Cimaschool 
• Kronschool

Can we rent ski equipment?
Yes, we work together with Rentaski Ski Rental, where our guests receive a 35% discount.

Do you have sledges?
Yes, we have a few sledges that you are welcome to borrow (please book 1 day in advance). A number of Alpine pastures, including the Moarhof farm, also offer family-size sledges for rental.

What kind of pools and saunas do you have?

• Baby paddling pool: A lovely little pool of just 30cm deep – perfect for kids to splash around and play.
• Kids’ pool: A 90cm-deep pool. Perfect for mini swimming adventures.
• Infinity pool: The water of our panoramic pool area is heated to a pleasant 32°C and comprises an indoor pool and a 12.5m outdoor pool, for refreshing fun all year round.
• Water slide: Fun for the whole family! Water-lovers of all ages will love zooming down the slide together.
• Family pine sauna: A 45°C sauna where the whole family can relax together and bask in the soothing scent of pine
• Relaxation room with family-size beds: The perfect spot to relax after a swim. Our spacious family berths provide masses of room to lie back and relax.
• Adult saunas: We provide a number of adults-only saunas: a steam bath, a herbal sauna (60°C) and a Finnish sauna (90°C)

Is the pool water warm enough for children?
Our indoor-outdoor pool is heated to 32°C, and our baby pool to 34°C.

Do we need to bring our own swimming aids?
Naturally, we provide safe, reliable swimming aids for beginners and non-swimmers.
