Drip…drip… Eddie wipes the drops of water from his face. Sitting and dozing by the river had been so pleasant until somebody sprayed water on him and a loud clatter woke him up from the loveliest of afternoon snoozes. Someone? No, something! Eddie can hardly believe his eyes: there’s a big, green bottle lying right next to him on the pebbly sand—and it wasn’t there before! “Hmmm… that‘s interesting,” he mutters to himself. “What’s so interesting?” asks his friend Buzzie the Bee. “This bottle here,” replies Eddie as he points to it.
At the same moment, they notice that there is a piece of paper inside the bottle, neatly rolled up and tied with a red ribbon. “What does it say?” asks Eddie eagerly. “We’ll soon find out,” cries Buzzie, who has already flown to the bottle neck and is pulling at the cork with all her might. Eddie joins in to help her and, with all 12 legs pulling together, in no time there’s a loud “Pop!” and the cork flies off the bottle. And what do you think Eddie and Buzzie see on the piece of paper? A treasure map? Directions? Good advice? A secret message with good news? Well, there’s a bit of all of them: it’s a gift voucher for time.
